Bandai Reveals “Dragon Ball Evolve” Line at Anime Expo

Way back when Bandai’s North American marketed “Dragon Stars” line was revealed, it was also mentioned that they planned to manufacture and sell smaller scale figures along side them. While Dragon Stars has enjoyed several waves of releases, we had been left in the dark on the smaller scale line up.. until now!

At this year’s incarnation of Anime Expo, Bandai saw fit to finally introduce us all to “Dragon Ball Evolve”. Not just prototypes on their own, but finished products in their packaging as well!

There’s still no word on when we’ll see these hitting shelves, but the release shouldn’t be too far off, considering the displayed products looked ready to be sold as they were displayed.

  1. That packaging is kinda ugly… looks like a dollar store knockoff. But I like the look of the figures. I’m assuming they will scale well with the Irwin/Jakks/SBC figures rather well, which will be very cool.

  2. Cool that these are basically Shodo, but that is a terrible choice of name. Evolve? First, in what way? Second, does that name ring any bells? Those are bad bells to ring.
