Edit: So the official sdcc site does say the exclusives will be on Premium Bandai and the New York Store (In Limited Quantities), but since they didn’t announce anything in the last SDCC YouTube broadcast, it seemed like this wasn’t happening. In previous years, the pre-orders went up right after their last YT update. Will see if Premium Bandai allows for ordering and will update here if it does!
It looks like Tamashii Nations, and Bandai will not be releasing the SDCC 2023 Dragon Ball figures on Premium Bandai for those of us who weren’t able to attend the convention. This is yet another great idea introduced during the pandemic that is being phased away.
So to switch gears, today, I will be covering two very expensive toys that were announced during the past week. First is Flagship Grimlock made by Robosen. They previously made a self transforming Optimus Prime and they applied the same tech to Grimlock. Availability will be in fall of 2023 at a cost of $1499. To truly appreciate the engineering that went into this, you have to watch the video below:
The next item is the four legged Unitree Go2. If this looks familiar, it is basically a shrunk down version of Boston Dynamic’s Spot and it costs abotu $1600 with an October availability. With shipping and duty, this will end up being well over $2k, but is still cheaper than the $75K Spot. There are different versions of Go2 including a Pro version and both versions with a controller. It’s not that they’re not releasing them during the convention, they’re releasing them on Premium Bandai at a later time.
I saw that too but when they didnt mention anything on their final YT broadcast, I wasn’t sure if they were still doing that or not, but will update if it does end up on PD!
