At San Diego Comic-Con the Tamashii Nations booth show cased all the current and future figures in the S.H. Figuarts line, along with placards that show the name and release date of each corresponding figure. ‘Ultimate Gohan’ which was originally planned for release in October, 2015 seems to have been pushed back to January of 2016.
Though none of this is confirmed officially, it’s very possible Tamashii Nations/Bluefin made a mistake with the placard. Collectors and convention goers have mentioned before that their placards have shown incorrect release dates in the past. So remember; none of this is for sure.
Fans are speculating this could be due to the “large forehead” on the figure and Bandai wants to make some changes to the figure before release time, but it’s really hard to say at this moment in time.
Check out the photo below with the new release date on the placard:
Im glad I wasn’t the only one noticing the large forehead, if they are delaying it because of that, that is fine by me, would rather they fix that and release a more accurate figure of gohan
Completely agreed. It doesn’t look awful, but I’d prefer they fix that issue.
