Banpresto’s annual Zoukei Tenkaichi Budoukai 7, which will be marketed as SCultures 7 upon release, is under way and the competing sculptors have been announced. Of the six announced competing sculptors, three are new to the contest, while the remaining three are veterans of the event. Of special notoriety is the return of Ito and Nakazawa, who went head to head with their respective “Super Saiyan 3 Son Goku” designs. While Ito came out on top, Nakazawa’s design was the runner up of the tournament and proved a popular design.
The first two figures of the contest to be released, Mr. Satan and SS2 Gohan, have been confirmed via the Shonen Jump Calendar to see release in May, 2017. While the remaining four will see release through out June and July.

For those who are new to the contest; Zoukei means “modeling” or “sculpting” and Tenkaichi Budoukai is a reference to the martial arts tournament held through out Dragon Ball. Resulting in the apt name for a sculpting tournament.
