The story introduces Trunks and Goten as high school students who moonlight as the mysterious heroes “Saiyaman X.” After an intense battle on Butterfly Mountain, they face off against the sinister artificial humans created by the evil genius Dr. Hed. The “Superhero Arc” spans volumes 20 to 23 of the Dragon Ball Super comics, currently available. And guess what? A sequel episode is coming in Volume 24, dropping on April 4, 2025!
Who is “Saiyaman X”? Trunks and Goten take on the identities of Saiyaman X1 and X2, respectively, to defend their city in style. Their superhero costumes and signature poses are inspired by their favorite game hero, “Clean God.” And in this special one-shot, we’ll finally learn the origin story behind the name “Saiyaman X”!
Trunks and Goten’s Heroic Moments Let’s rewind and revisit some of the most epic scenes from their heroic adventures! Trunks and Goten are constantly on the lookout for trouble, taking down criminals to keep the city safe. But their secret identities are tough to maintain, especially when they find themselves in sticky situations.
They stumble upon a household robot being mistreated by its owner, and soon discover that Dr. Hed—an evil scientist—is behind a sinister plot to exploit androids. Our heroes face off against the Alpha Series, a team of dangerous artificial humans, and foil their evil plans. But when Trunks discovers a crucial data disk, it triggers a whole new set of problems. Dr. Hed sends androids Beta 1 and Beta 2 to track them down, leading to an epic showdown where teamwork between Saiyaman X1 and X2 saves the day!
The story then takes a wild turn as the revived Red Ribbon Army recruits Dr. Hed to help them achieve world domination. Trunks, Goten, and Krillin head to Dr. Hed’s hideout to stop his evil schemes. After an intense battle with an artificial dinosaur, the trio triumphs and captures Dr. Hed, bringing a brief but sweet peace.
But three months later, Dr. Hed is back, now working for the Red Ribbon Army! They create new threats in the form of Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Cellmax. The stage is set for even more high-stakes action!
