London Toy Fair is underway and one of the most interesting takeaways, thus far, is the Dragon Stars ‘Tenkaichi Budoukai Play Set’. The playset scales poorly with Dragon Stars, but we already know this is a line meant to engage casual collectors and kids alike, so who cares? I think for scaling purposes, Shodo Neo figures would look great.
The play set looks like it will be coming with interchangeable pieces to give off a “battle damaged” look. The extent to which this is true is unknown, however we know for sure that the play set will feature dynamic pieces that can be interchanged. Expect this to drop in Fall, 2020 and with a retail price of $29.99
