Dragon Ball Narrator Brice Armstrong Has Passed Away

Brice Armstrong
1/3/1936 – 1/10/2020

The Dragon Ball community has lost one of its long time voice actors, as Brice Armstrong has passed away from natural causes. He was 84 years old. Mr. Armstrong was known for his work as the narrator for Funimation’s dub of Dragon Ball. He was also known for his voice work for Captain Ginyu and Lord Slug.

Beyond Dragon Ball Mr. Armstrong had also done voice acting work for Lupin III, Case Closed, Fruits Basket, Yu Yu Hakusho and a myriad of other titles.

Tributes from Dragon Ball fans are pouring out all over the internet in various Dragon Ball themed discussion boards. Additionally, fellow Dragon Ball voice actors like Chris Sabbat have released heart felt statements:

Christopher Sabat, a Mary Collins Agency voice actor and founder of Okratron 5000, worked with and directed Brice often. ‘Brice was the kindest, funniest person I’ve ever known. He was always humble, never in a bad mood–not the attitude you’d expect from such an industry legend.'”

Our thoughts are with the family of Mr. Armstrong. He is survived by his six children and nine grandchildren.
