‘Dragon Ball Arise’ Great Monkey Baby & Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku Resin

A new officially licensed resin statue is in the works by the manufacturer Plex. This is significant, as the resin market is awash in unofficial and unlicensed manufacturers. Plex choosing to step into the game is wise, though they’ll have to combat the already established unofficial market place.

But I digress, let’s talk about the statue. The statue features a Great Monkey Baby as the center piece, with a Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku, which is dwarfed by Great Monkey Baby’s size. What’s really cool, is that mail order customers will receive an addition Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta at no additional cost. The bad news? The pre-order is selling out fast.

Here’s some statistics on the figure for you:

What are your thoughts in the quality and craftsmanship shown here; as opposed to other offerings on the market place? I’d love to hear resin collectors weigh in on the subject in the comments section.

OH! .. Merry Christmas, everyone. Happy Holidays.

  1. So I love the Great Monkey Baby. Sculpt looks great. I do think it will be good to have a major official player in the design arena. But those small Goku and Vegeta figures don’t look great, especially for being the prototype… considering that they are similar in size to the HG figures, these bear more resemblance to the myriad of unofficial figs/statues out there.

    But… it’s a nice-looking set still.
