TAMASHII NATION 2024 Report

The TAMASHII NATION 2024 figure exhibition was a spectacular event held from Friday, November 15th to Sunday, November 17th, at TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, showcasing a treasure trove of Dragon Ball figures that left fans in awe!

Upon entering, visitors were greeted by the iconic Shenron Gate, and immediately to the left, they encountered the jaw-dropping “DRAGON BALL HISTORY” display. This massive exhibit featured 119 Dragon Ball figures from across the entire series, arranged chronologically to let fans relive the epic saga. It was like stepping into the world of Dragon Ball itself!

Dioramas from the Dragon Ball Sagas

The exhibit included detailed dioramas from major story arcs like the Saiyan Saga and Frieza Saga, as well as iconic moments from Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Z. There was so much to marvel at, but here are a few standout moments worth noting:

  • Young Chi-Chi aiming at Master Roshi with the line, “If it’s the real thing, I should be able to avoid it…”
  • Androids posed just like on the cover of the manga!
  • Mr. Satan, in his heroic glory, delivering a mighty dynamite kick to Cell!
  • Majin Buu – Evil being overwhelmed by the unstoppable power of Ultimate Gohan!

A Tribute to Dragon Ball DAIMA

The Dragon Ball DAIMA section was just as impressive, featuring a small Son Goku statue from the currently airing anime. Fans were also treated to special figures, such as the “SHFiguarts Super Saiyan Son Goku (mini) -DAIMA-,” which made its debut at the event! And for those who missed the exclusive Dragon Ball Daimatsuri event, rare figures like “SHFiguarts Glorio,” “SHFiguarts Panji,” and “SHFiguarts Kaiōshin (mini)” were also on display. A figure of Gomar, who shrinks Goku and Kaiōshin into tiny forms, was another highlight fans couldn’t get enough of!

New Announcements & Releases

The excitement didn’t stop there! The latest Dragon Ball releases were also on full display:

  • Figuarts ZERO Son Goku & Bulma is a 3D recreation of the iconic illustration from Weekly Shonen Jump‘s cover! It’s so beautifully crafted, it looks like it jumped straight off the page!
  • To celebrate Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary, a new “Super Saiyan Son Goku – The Legendary Super Saiyan” figure was announced as part of a BEST SELECTION! Stay tuned for more details in January!

Special Offers & Limited Edition Figures

For those attending the event, there was also a special surprise: the “SHFiguarts Son Goku & Ryu -40th Anniversary Edition”, available as a gift for anyone who applied for the V Jump December Special Issue. This figure was displayed in a large corner, and visitors could also see rare sculptures showcasing each step of the manufacturing process—something you don’t usually get to see!
