The next issue of the Dragon Ball Super manga will be releasing on December 20th, 2022, with a focus on Goten and Trunks as Super Heroes. This will take place before the Super Hero movie and it looks like they will be deviating from the Goku and Vegeta story to focus on other characters.
At this point, I think they really need to split off the franchise into different groups. You have one story for the Z fighters on earth like Piccolo, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Buu, and the Androids. The second series can focus on Goku and his training with Whis and his mentorship of Broly. Finally a third would be Vegeta going to Universe 6 to mentor the saiyans in that universe. They can bring them all back together Avengers style during large events like movies or Super Arcs. This would branch out and create more stories, but would also need more writers, artists and companies to do the anime if they go that route.
Anyways, that’s what i would do if given reigns to this IP!
