Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!
This Week’s Headlines
The Dragon Ball Super: My Favorite Cover Poll officially opened on Saturday, May 9th. Fans can vote for the best front cover and inside jacket illustration set from all 24 volumes of Dragon Ball Super. Voting runs through May 31st, so there’s still time to support your favorite volume.
Dragon Ball Super Divers is also preparing to launch its 10th set, “Furious Attack,” in Japan on Thursday, May 21st. To celebrate, a massive lineup of campaigns and collaborations has been announced.
One of the biggest highlights is a special crossover with DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Ultra Supervillain versions of Goku Black, Jiren, Vegeta, Golden Frieza, and Fu will appear as exclusive Pick-Up Rare cards featuring stunning new designs and the XENOVERSE 2 logo.
The collaboration doesn’t stop there. New XENOVERSE 2-themed stages are also being added to “Challenge Dive,” giving players the chance to battle Fu and other Ultra Supervillain enemies directly in-game.
Another major campaign gives players a chance to collect special movie poster-inspired cards based on classic Dragon Ball films, including Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’. Players using a Diver Passport or compatible Amusement IC card during the event period can win one of these limited cards if luck is on their side.
A separate jackpot campaign will award a special God Rare card featuring Goku: GT and Super Baby 2, recreating the iconic ending still from Dragon Ball GT.
Master Diver Rui also teased that even more bonuses and rewards will be available throughout the “10 Super Awesome Campaigns,” making the 10th set one of the game’s biggest updates yet.
V Jump’s oversized July issue also arrives in Japan on Thursday, May 21st. The issue includes fresh details on the newly announced DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, the new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime, and upcoming Dragon Ball card game releases.
Readers can also expect previews of Fusion World’s upcoming 10th booster set, new booster concepts, and a variety of Dragon Ball game and merchandise updates. Bonus cards included with the issue are “Glorio: DA” for Fusion World and a special “Android 17” card for Dragon Ball Super Divers.
Another collectible release hitting arcades this week is Dragon Ball Z G×materia Broly, arriving in crane games on Tuesday, May 19th.
