It is now December and since it’s Monday, we have another episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News. This week focused mainly on the 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD release of the DBS Super Hero movie on December 7th. The producer King Iyoku who spoke first and seemed very excited about the release and wanted the viewer to enjoy the new characters especially Dr. Hedo who had a great voice actor and made appearances throughout the movie. Hopefully we see him in the upcoming DBS manga as well as the anime.
Next to speak was the producer Hayashida at Toei Animation, and one interesting point he mentioned was that they were originally a hand drawn animation company, but used the latest cutting edge CG for this movie and I thought that was interesting since most anime in Japan is hand drawn and its taken them a while to adopt CG.
This release is for Japan only at the moment and there is no word yet on a US release of this movie.
Another bit of interesting news is the next Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour, this time from March 4-5th in Las Vegas. This will feature heavily on the games, especially Dragon Ball Fighters Z.
