This is a repost from Comicbook.com with information from twitter user Ethan Law showing the 3rd quarter statistics for Bandai Namco IP for 2021. In Japan, the fiscal year goes from April, 2020 to March, 2021 so this is technically 3rd quarter for 2020 (October – December).
Although sales of IP (Toys & Hobby) are down with Dragon Ball maintaining its third position, Ethan points out that not having Anime or Movies is hurting sales. I would argue that COVID has an affect here as well because we have seen less figures released during the past year compared to 2020.
In comparison, sales of IP (Groupwide), I’m not entirely sure what this all includes, maybe video games and comics? are slightly up for the 3rd quarter, but down for the fiscal year, Dragon Ball leads all other IPs.
