And here is the other Goku figure that was announced by BBTS for pre-order at a cost of $37.99 with an August 2026 availability. There are now four new Goku releases for 2026 and one Vegeta with the new design and a fifth Goku coming soon as an event exclusive in Japan!

He has been carefully sculpted with attention paid to details like his proportions and facial expressions, and incorporating the new Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System (patent pending) developed for the S.H.Figuarts “Dragon Ball” series!

The first new release is SHFiguarts Super Saiyan God Son Goku (A Form Clad in the Energy of God) from Dragon Ball Super. Joining it is SHFiguarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Son Goku (Blue Power Beyond Limits). Both figures feature a newly developed articulation system created specifically for the SHFiguarts Dragon Ball line. The shoulder joints in particular incorporate the innovative Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System (patent pending), designed for even greater expressive posing.

Both new Goku figures will be showcased for the very first time at TAMASHII NATION 2025, alongside a wide range of other Dragon Ball collectibles from SHFiguarts, Figuarts ZERO, and more. Fans can expect an impressive lineup and an up-close look at the latest advancements in figure design.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date just yet. But I’m willing to bet it’ll be announced in the next Shonen Jump Calendar update. In our limited photos, the figure looks great. While I feel the neck looks a little long, it’s always possible the final production version will have this issue remedied.

No word on whether or not this will be a “web exclusive”, but it may be good to know that the SSGSS Vegeta is a web exclusive, where as the SSGSS Gogeta figure is not.

Here’s a few photos for you, let us know what you’re thinking in the comments!

Worth noting; the Figure-rise Standard Broly model kit comes with additional faces for both of these kits. The Figure-rise Standard Broly kit is set for release in January, 2019, fresh off the heels of the movie release. The faces for both Goku and Vegeta express pain, which is pretty appropriate considering they’re come packaged with the Broly kit.

You can see them in the promotional photo for the Broly model kit below:

Dragon Ball Super: Broly will see its initial release in Japanese theaters on December 14th, 2018. For those of you reading from North America, you can expect to see the movie see a limited theater run in January, 2019.

The Hot Topic Exclusive “Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku” has started to roll out to Hot Topic brick and mortar stores. I can’t guarantee it will be at your local store, but I’ve seen it in stock at locations near me (in the western United States) and have heard other reports of fans on this side of the country seeing them.

Additionally I’d like to apologize about the lack of news items lately. Nothing much has been happening in the world of Dragon Ball action figure collecting. Things will surely pick up again soon, especially as SDCC rolls around.

Retail price will be $12.50.

Worth noting is that Tamashii Buddies are one of the few lines of Dragon Ball merchandise that can be found in “brick and mortar” retailers across the United States like Barnes and Noble and Books-a-Million. So if you’re hesitant to order online, check those stores out and see what they have to offer.
