The packaging for some of the S.H. Figuarts Exclusives for San Diego Comic Con and the Dragon Ball Tour have been revealed. Unfortunately, it looks like the photos have been taken with an actual potato, but such is life.

More Dragon Ball Tour Exclusives Revealed

Majin Rob — Tue, 21 May 2019 02:29:53 +0000

The official Dragon Ball Tour website has been updated to reveal several new tour exclusives. Now a days it’s fair to expect one or two S.H. Figuarts exclusives, but I was surprised to see a total of four. This is especially impressive when you consider the fact that S.H. Figuarts isn’t the only line getting exclusives.

The likes of Figure-rise Standard and Figuarts ZERO are getting their very own exclusives, as well. With Figure-rise Standard releasing a Super Saiyan Gogeta and Figuarts ZERO releasing a Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta.

So far the tour dates are as follows (not in order):

New York, NY
San Diego, CA
Mexico City, Mexico
Cologne, Germany
Barcelona, Spain
Shanghai, China
Hong Kong, China
Japan (no city revealed as of this writing)

Tamashii Announces: Dragon Ball World Adventures

Majin Rob — Mon, 22 Apr 2019 17:24:09 +0000

Tamashii has revealed, via their official Instagram account, that they will be launching and improving upon the “Dragon Ball Tour” that we saw last year in North America.

This year the tour will not be exclusive to North America and will instead be a world wide event. Tamashii Nations has been tight lipped on the details beyond this. But we do know that there will be eight tour dates and that the first stop will be in San Diego.

So it’s all but confirmed that the first stop will be at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. No word on any exclusives just yet, but hopefully they can improve on last year’s model. I for one felt like it was bad form to have three S.H. Figuarts exclusives, some of which were “shared” exclusives, with variant packaging. So, Tamashii, if you’re reading this, simplify the formula.

Check Out The SDCC / Dragon Ball Tour Exclusives Packaging!

Majin Rob — Fri, 06 Jul 2018 22:25:27 +0000

Anthony’s Customs was given a copy of each of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con / Dragon Ball Tour exclusives and we’re absolutely blown away to see that they have all revealed a brand new variant of packaging. This is like nothing we’ve seen before, except for maybe the “Mexican Goku” exclusive. The last major overhaul for the S.H. Figuarts packaging was something we saw spread out across the line, not just something used for exclusives.

Remember, the Vegito figure will also have another packaging variant, as we reported yesterday. Not sure which version the photo below represents though.

It’s hard to say if this packaging design variant will become a standard from here on out, be it for exclusives or the rest of the line. But I can speak for myself when I say I hope it’s an exclusive design for these three releases, that’d make these pretty special releases.

Bandai’s SDCC and Anime Expo Exclusives

Majin Rob — Mon, 25 Jun 2018 21:32:54 +0000

Bandai has two Dragon Ball themed exclusives in the pipe line for San Diego Comic Con 2018. What’s more is not only will these appear at SDCC, but they will also be at Bandai’s booth at this year’s Anime Expo. Giving fans and collectors an extra chance to pick up the exclusives.

The first exclusive item will be a Dragon Stars – Saiyan Evolution Pack, which will feature three versions of Goku in various forms of Super Saiyan as seen in Dragon Ball Super. The figures will come packaged in a sleek black box, with a removable sleeve that enables to figures to be displayed in the box. The set will retail for $80.00.

The other exclusive for the conventions will be a Golden Frieza Scouter, which is a unique take on the well known power level scouters, but this time in a color way celebrating Golden Frieza. The scouter will come in a “premium” matte white packaging and retail for $50.00.

Funko’s Dragon Ball SDCC 2018 Exclusives

Majin Rob — Mon, 18 Jun 2018 23:50:03 +0000

The Funko POP! line of figures has always been a staple of San Diego Comic Con’s desirable exclusives. This year looks to be no exception with what these leaked photos have to reveal:

Looks like the gold Vegeta will be Toy Tokyo’s exclusive this year, while the dead Yamcha and Brody figure will be part of the Funko booth’s lottery.

Not 100% sure on the Whis figure yet, but it’s probably safe to say it’s also going to be at the Funko booth as well.

Are you attending the con this year? Do you plan to pick any of these up? Let us know in the comments!

SDCC Exclusive: Funko POP! Golden Frieza

Majin Rob — Fri, 12 Jun 2015 18:28:19 +0000

As we all sit in anticipation of Tamashii Nations to announce their S.H. Figuarts exclusive for San Diego Comic Con, Funko POP! has announced theirs! POP! Animation is releasing a Golden Frieza for SDCC 2015 and they’re first come first serve, as Funko has opted to not offer a pre-sale on the figures.

Funko’s goal was to get as many of the figures into the hands of fans as possible, check out their quote below:

Our goal was to cover as many beloved licenses and characters
as possible to remind every Comic-Con attendee why
they fell in love with these stories in the first place.

In an effort to provide more of our products to Con-goers, we are NOT offering a pre-buy option this year.
