R.I.P. Akira Toriyama 1955-2024

Just saw this in my news feeds and it happened on March 1st, but is just being reported on today. RIP to the creator of one of the greatest manga/anime franchises ever and his influence will be sorely missed. Not sure what happens to his empire now or who has final say now on what happens, but I do hope they continue with super and we get to see what his vision for Daima.

Not sure when all of you got into Dragon Ball, but I spent my summers in Asia as a kid in the 80s and 90s and I was absolutely addicted. It went away for most of the 2000s, but I was very excited when it came back as Super in the 2010s. And now we seem to be in a second wave of Dragon ball.

Here is hoping they keep up with the quality if Super continues and they dont go too fast in expanding into too many storylines. Also, somebody at Bandai had better be working on a figure of him since this is a figure site afterall.

It’s a very sad day for so many that grew up from the 80’s to today. Several generations of kids pretended to go Super Saiyan and shoot Kamehameha’s at each other with their friends. RIP Toriyama.
