Dragon Ball News for the Week of March 9, 2026

Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!

First, a quick look at news from last week.

Itajaga Dragon Ball Vol. 9 went on sale in Japan on Monday, March 2. This popular series pairs a collectible Dragon Ball card with a potato snack. The ninth set features a collaboration with the mobile game Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, which celebrates its 11th anniversary this year. The cards include high-quality illustrations from the game.

Next, the April issue of Saikyo Jump was released in Japan on Wednesday, March 4. This issue includes a scratch-off giveaway where readers can win Dragon Ball Super Divers DRAGON BALL 40th Anniversary Edition Advance Packs. It also features a preview of the ninth set of Divers cards launching March 26, along with a detailed look at the newest boosters and starter decks for Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, which is approaching its second anniversary.

The issue also includes the latest Dragon Ball news covering toys, games such as Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and more. It features the newest chapters of the Dragon Ball SD and Let’s! Super Dive!! manga as well.

Other highlights from last week include several prize figures released in crane games on Thursday, March 5:

Now for this week’s news.

Dragon Ball World Collectable Figure: Youth Edition 1 will appear in game centers starting Tuesday, March 10. This chibi-style figure series returns with an updated lineup featuring characters from Goku’s childhood, including Bulma and Master Roshi.

Next, the DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Fusion World Official Card Catalogue 2nd COMPLETE CARD COLLECTION will be released in Japan on Friday, March 13. This official catalog features more than 1,100 cards released between February 2025 and March 2026 and includes interviews with the game’s development producers. The book also comes with two bonus cards: “Son Goku/Vegeta” and “Son Gohan: SH/Piccolo: SH,” both designed to work well with cards from the latest ninth booster set.

The ninth Fusion World booster set, DUAL EVOLUTION [FB09], will be released in Japan on Saturday, March 14 (the English version launches Friday, March 13). Two EX starter decks, THE PHASE OF EVOLUTION [FS11] and THE BEAT OF KI [FS12], will release on the same day (English version also March 13).

According to Bandai card division producer Ueda, the DUAL EVOLUTION set celebrates the game’s second anniversary and includes Leader cards such as three versions of Gogeta, Ultra Instinct Son Goku, and Son Gohan: SH. The set contains three SCR cards instead of the usual two, and each has a Super Alt-Art version. A new rarity, Super Alt-Art Leader cards, is also being introduced.

The EX starter decks feature holographic foil on every card and include a bonus pack containing one holographic gold-foil Alt-Art card. They also come with specially designed energy markers updated for the new “Ki” mechanic, with two cards for each of the five energy types, totaling ten cards.

On the same day, DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME OFFICIAL CARD SLEEVES 04 will also be released (English version March 13). These sleeves feature artwork of three Gogeta transformations along with Ultra Instinct Goku.

Another prize figure arriving in crane games this week is Dragon Ball Z SOLID EDGE WORKS -THE SHUTSUJIN- Broly II, releasing Tuesday, March 10.
