Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!
Last week, the super-sized April issue of V Jump went on sale in Japan on February 20. It features a special on Fusion World’s second anniversary, including highlights from the commemorative ninth booster pack set and EX starter decks. The issue also includes figure news such as S.H.Figuarts Son Goku “Onwards to Adventure,” along with the latest updates on Divers, games, anime, and more.
The newest entry in the HG Dragon Ball series began rolling out to Gashapon machines across Japan in the third week of February. HG Dragon Ball 04 Majin Buu Saga focuses on the Majin Buu arc and includes four figures: Super Saiyan 2 Goku, Majin Vegeta, Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, and Dabura. Gotenks may be slightly smaller, but the sculpting details, especially his hair and confident pose, stand out. Super Saiyan 2 Goku and Majin Vegeta can also be displayed together to recreate their iconic battle. More HG Dragon Ball figures are planned for future release.
Other recent highlights include Dragon Ball Z Solid Edge Works -The Shutsujin- Broly in crane games (from February 17) and “Toyotarou Tried to Draw!” in late February. Product details are subject to change.
Looking ahead, a new figure from the History Box series arrives in Japanese crane games on February 26. The latest release features Taopaipai, complete with a diorama stand recreating his pillar-traveling scene.
Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball: Fantastic Adventure 2 launches in Japan on February 28. The A Prize includes figures of Goku and Krillin delivering milk during their Kame School training. The B Prize offers practical items, such as a teapot inspired by Gohan’s childhood outfit. The Last One Prize features Goku and Chichi riding Kintoun, designed to hold small accessories.
On the official site, upcoming articles include the regularly updated Toriyama Archives and the Weekly Character Showcase on February 24. Release dates may change.
