Dragon Ball News for the Week of February 2, 2026

Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!

The Dragon Ball world kicked things off by reminding fans that wallets are optional but temptation is eternal. Pre-orders in Japan opened for a premium S.H.Figuarts Goku set based on a rare Akira Toriyama illustration, complete with a poseable figure and a history book that lovingly catalogs the entire figure line. It’s part action figure, part museum exhibit, and entirely designed to make collectors nod solemnly and say, “I need this.”

On the game front, Dragon Ball Legends unleashed a new summon starring Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super, complete with dramatic ink-style animation recreating one of the series’ most uncomfortable absorption moments. Stylish, unsettling, and very on-brand.

Meanwhile, Dokkan Battle blew out eleven birthday candles with its “New Horizons” anniversary campaign. The headline acts are Super Saiyan 4 Goku (DAIMA) and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta (DAIMA), recreated straight from the climactic anime battle and debuting with flashy new EX Super Attacks that activate under special conditions. If that weren’t enough, multiple fan-favorite characters are getting Extreme Z-Awakenings in early February, making this campaign a not-so-subtle invitation for lapsed players to come crawling back.

Cards and collectibles also got their time in the spotlight. Japan-exclusive serial-numbered Gogeta cards started distribution, and an event-exclusive S.H.Figuarts figure commemorating the Genkidamatsuri is going up for order, featuring special coloring, alternate expressions, and speech bubbles packed with iconic lines.

Print fans aren’t left out either. Saikyo Jump’s March issue arrives loaded with bonuses, including a Super Saiyan 2 Goku card, a chance at a Strongest Saiyan card pack featuring Goku, Vegeta, and Broly, and even a scratch-off giveaway for an official deck box. It also delivers fresh Dragon Ball SD chapters and the latest Super Dive content.

Rounding out the week are big events on the horizon: the Dragon Ball Legends World Championship Finals streaming live, an invitation-only Dokkan Battle anniversary broadcast, and regular updates to the Toriyama Archives and character showcases on the official site.

That’s it for this week’s Dragon Ball News, thanks for tuning in and we hope you have a Super Week!
