Dragon Ball News for the Week of December 8, 2025

Welcome to another episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News! Let’s dive into everything happening during the week of December 1st.

Last Week’s News

Saikyo Jump’s January issue landed in Japanese stores on Thursday, December 4th. (Release dates may vary by region.) Inside, readers found a scratch-off giveaway for Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World – SAIYAN’S PRIDE booster packs, plus a bonus Dragon Ball Super Divers “Goku: DA” card. The issue also features a deep dive into highlights from the newest seventh set, including the BUPPA System and the Secret God Rare cards equipped with the Single Strike action skill. On top of that, it’s packed with details on the Minecraft collaboration, the newly opened Dragon Ball Store Tokyo, and more. New chapters of Dragon Ball SD and Let’s! Super Dive!! also made their appearance.

Two Dragon Ball related comic volumes also hit shelves in Japan on Thursday, December 4th.
Dragon Ball SD continues its full-color, chibi-style retelling of classic battles, now heating up in volume 12 as Android 17 and his team take action and Cell enters the scene. This volume also includes a “Trunks: Teen” bonus card for Dragon Ball Super Divers.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super Divers – Let’s! Super Dive!! volume 2 follows Asuka, a boy obsessed with the Divers card game, as he clashes with eccentric rivals in over-the-top card battles. This volume includes a “Super Janemba” bonus card.

Other highlights from last week included new Dragon Ball Z MATCH MAKERS crane game prizes featuring Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Majin Buu (Pure), both released on Wednesday, December 3rd. The Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World MANGA Limited Battle EX Kyoto Tournament also took place on Saturday, December 6th.

Itajaga Dragon Ball Vol. 8 went on sale across Japan on Monday, December 8th. One of the project leads, Chino from the Bandai Candy Division, shared an overview of the new release. Itajaga Dragon Ball pairs potato snacks with collectible metallic cards, each boasting a brand-new illustration. This volume focuses on the Android/Cell arc from Dragon Ball Z, highlighted by two SSR cards, Gohan and Cell, featuring mirrored designs that reflect their respective growth and transformations. Next, Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World – SAIYAN’S PRIDE [FB08] booster packs arrive in Japan on Saturday, December 13th, with the English version following on Friday, December 12th. This highly anticipated set brings together Saiyans from across the franchise’s anime, films, and beyond. For the first time, Caulifla, Turles, and Son Goku Jr. appear as Leader cards. Also releasing that day are the DBSCG Official Card Sleeves – Illustrations – Special, available in four designs featuring comic artwork by Akira Toriyama. (The English version of these sleeves will launch on Friday, March 6th, 2026.) They’ll be sold at authorized Fusion World retailers throughout Japan.

This week’s crane game prizes include the G×materia Trunks figure, available Tuesday, December 9th, and Mecha Mofugutto Dragon Ball plushies, available Thursday, December 11th. (Product details may change without notice.)
