Dragon Ball News for the Week of December 1, 2025

Hope you all had a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend (for those in the US) and welcome back to another episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News! Let’s dive into everything happening during the week of December 1st.

First, the latest headline:
The worldwide character popularity poll, DRAGON BALL THE ONE, kicked off on Thursday, November 20. Starting with 212 characters and progressing through four stages, the poll is now between rounds. As of December 1, results for Stage 2 are still being counted. Later this week, the qualifiers will be announced, the Revival Battle will begin, and polling for Stage 3 will open. A special event site is live, so don’t forget to cast your vote.

Now for last week’s updates:
DB Comics Charm Collection 03 is arriving at Gashapon machines across Japan from the fourth week of November. Pre-sales began earlier in the month at Saikyo Gasha Station locations. Timelines may vary depending on the shop. This collection celebrates Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary with designs based on Akira Toriyama’s illustrations. Each box mimics a comic cover and contains an acrylic charm featuring the corresponding title page artwork.

Similarly, HG DB Another is also rolling out to Gashapon machines in Japan. This latest entry in the HG Series offers high-quality, palm-sized figures, including four female characters—among them Bulma en route to Planet Namek.

Additional highlights from last week:
DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Fusion World – MANGA Limited Battle EX Tokyo Tournament was held on Saturday, November 29.

Moving on to what’s new this week:
The January edition of Saikyo Jump hits shelves in Japan on Thursday, December 4. (Release dates may differ by region.) This issue includes a bonus “Goku: DA” card for Super Divers and an article explaining the seventh set’s BUPPA System along with Single Strike SEC cards. It also features updates on the Minecraft collaboration, the new Dragon Ball Store, and more. Fresh chapters of Dragon Ball SD and Let’s! Super Dive!! are included as well. New volumes of both series release the same day in Japan.

To share more, here’s Victory Asada:
“I’m Victory Asada, overseeing all things Dragon Ball for V Jump and Saikyo Jump. Two new volumes arrive on December 4.
First is Dragon Ball SD, Volume 12, a full-color comedy-packed retelling filled with wild battles. The Android–Cell arc heats up here, and this volume includes a Trunks bonus card, showcasing his cool composure and sharp wit.
Next is Let’s! Super Dive!! Volume 2, where the protagonist faces off against unique opponents using actual Super Divers cards. This time, a pair of siblings who strongly resemble Androids 17 and 18 arrive with formidable decks of their own. A “Super Janemba” bonus card is included as well. Don’t miss either volume.”
