Dragon Ball News for the Week of April 6, 2026

Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!

Let’s take a look at what’s been happening in the world of Dragon Ball during the week of April 6.

First, here’s some news from last week.

Super Saiyan God Vegeta joined the battle in GEKISHIN SQUADRA on Wednesday, April 1. Content and availability may change without notice.

GEKISHIN SQUADRA is a team-based battle game where you can fight alongside friends. Super Saiyan God Vegeta specializes in combat while disrupting opponents, and his Super Attack allows him to warp to a target location and strike. The game is available on smartphones, home consoles, and other platforms.

Next, DESKTOP REAL McCOY Dragon Ball Z 05: Goku & Chichi – Exclusive Re-Release Edition – became available for pre-order on Premium Bandai on Thursday, April 2.

This figure recreates a moment between a young Goku and Chichi, originally illustrated by Akira Toriyama. The sculpting details, including the bike, are especially impressive.

Moving on, the May issue of Saikyo Jump was released on Friday, April 3. This issue is available in Japan.

It includes a scratch-off giveaway for a chance to win Fusion World booster packs. There is also a bonus Fusion World “Son Goku” card, along with a feature highlighting a deck built around it.

Additionally, the issue showcases notable cards from Divers’ 9th set and includes a bonus “Goku: DA” card for Divers. It also features the latest chapters of Dragon Ball SD and Let’s! Super Dive!!, along with updates on games, merchandise, and more.

Another major update from last week: the Dragon Ball Super Divers 2026 Championship Store Preliminaries began on Saturday, April 4.

Now onto this week’s news.

Dragon Ball Choco-Surprise 2 launched in Japan on Monday, April 6.

Each package contains a capsule-shaped chocolate made of two flavors, with a collectible figure inside. The chocolate has a distinct two-tone design, and inside is an orange capsule holding the figure.

Upon opening one, the figure revealed was Trunks, specifically from the father-son Galick Gun scene. The figure is small, under 5 cm, but highly detailed, capturing his pose, expression, and stance accurately.

There are 12 figures in total, including a secret one. Despite their small size, each figure faithfully recreates scenes from the series. A diorama base is included to enhance display, and some figures come in special versions with aura effects.

Dragon Ball Choco-Surprise 2 is available in snack aisles across Japan starting April 6.

Here are some highlights for this week.

Dragon Ball Z BLOOD OF SAIYANS -Super Saiyan Gohan- will be available in crane games starting Wednesday, April 8. Product details may change.

Dragon Ball Z BLOOD OF SAIYANS -Super Saiyan Goten- will also be available in crane games starting Wednesday, April 8. Product details may change.

Dragon Ball Z Mecha Mofugutto Saibaiman plush toys will be available in crane games starting Thursday, April 9. Product details may change.

Looking ahead to next week, DRAGON BALL Games Battle Hour 2026 will take place from Sunday, April 19 to Monday, April 20 (JST) in Los Angeles, California.

This two-day event will feature exhibitions, stage events, interactive booths, and more, offering fans a chance to fully experience Dragon Ball. The event will also be streamed online, with more details available on the official website.
