Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a relaxing Christmas and Holiday Season and will start off the New Year in good health and with a full stomach. On the figure front, 2025 was a challenging year and it doesn’t look like it will letup anytime soon. Cost to purchase figures have been on the UP and recently, there doesn’t seem to be any new character releases outside of Daima in the popular S.H. Figuarts line. It has been all Goku’s in his various forms with the new body with release dates all the way into 4th quarter 2026.
The current status of our beloved anime isn’t going too well either with Dragon Ball Daima ending over a year ago and Super ending over three years ago, plus there hasn’t been any new manga releases either. From reading different sources, this seems to the result of different groups vying for control over the lucrative rights to the franchise. There has also been rumblings of something new being announced later this month so stay tuned to see what that is all about.
