Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2: Glorio – Review

The second episode of Dragon Ball Daima released on Friday and below is my review. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want spoilers, don’t scroll below:

So after the wish, Shenron leaves, but before he does, there is a conversation with the Demon Realm people cause they thought they were supposed to get three wishes, but Shenron only gives three for those he is familiar with. He then disappears. They talk about trying to use the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls and also using the Namekian to gather the earth Dragon Balls again, but he says he can’t do it twice. They then kidnap little green and head back to the Demon Realm.

Meanwhile at Goku’s camp, they are trying to figure out why only they are turned small, but all the normal people at the party like the servers are still big. Goku has a problem flying and goes looking for his power pole. Not sure how the pole helps here but maybe they will explain it later. They also head to Kami’s lookout and learn about the Demon Realm and Supreme Kai goes to get the ship he used to escape the Demon Realm. Due to the fight with Majin Buu, it’s not working anymore so they get Bulma to try and fix it.

Glorio appears at the end of the episode and offers to take Supreme Kai and Goku to the Demon Realm on orders from the King, but denies our Prince a seat due to space despite them all being little kids. It is implied that Vegeta and the others will join at a later time once Bulma fixes their ship. She looks at Glorio’s ship to get an idea what is wrong with the Kai’s ship.

Two things stick out for me in this chapter. 1. This feels more like an adventure story geared for kids as i previously mentioned similar to how GT was setup. I don’t think we will get new antagonists with increasing power levels like Super so the main group wont be getting power ups until the very end like GT so this negates the power levelling issue everyone gets worked up about. However, for those that like the fighting aspect of this, it wont be as engaging.

2. Not sure why Majin Buu wasn’t included in the group since at the present time, he is most likely still the most powerful out of everyone in the group and he easily handled Dabura and Bibid in his own saga.

Anyways, thats my thoughts for this week, let me know what you thought of the episode in the comments!
