Dragon Ball News for the Week of January 12, 2026

Welcome to a new episode of Weekly Dragon Ball News!

First, a quick rewind: Saikyo Jump’s February issue landed in Japan with scratch-off giveaways for Fusion World booster packs, a bonus Broly card, deck-building tips, and previews for upcoming products. It also hyped Dragon Ball Super Divers’ 8th set, teased GDR cards and campaigns, plugged Gekishin Squadra, and delivered fresh chapters of Dragon Ball SD and Let’s! Super Dive!! all in one go.

On the card game front, pre-orders opened for the Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World 2nd Anniversary Set. It’s stacked with flashy alt-art foils, a special Energy Marker, and enough premium storage gear to make your deck feel like royalty. The English version arrives later this year.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball SD continues its colorful, gag-filled rampage on YouTube, where tiny Goku and friends are deep into the Cell saga, complete with Android 17 almost getting absorbed and Android 16 throwing hands to stop it.

Last week also brought plenty of side quests: Dragon Ball Legends rolled out a ZENKAI Awakening for Mini Super Saiyan Goku, crane games unleashed Android 18, Mr. Satan, and Mighty Mask figures, and the Fusion World Championship Japan Finals wrapped up with a livestream for anyone who missed the action.

This week ramps things up again with Season 3 of Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra. The big draw is Super Vegito, who can freely transform mid-match, giving players a new excuse to yell “fusion” at their screens. Add in more crane game prizes like Gogeta, a ridiculously long Shenron plush, and clear-style Goku and Vegeta figures, plus a pre-release broadcast for Super Divers’ next set, and there’s barely time to breathe.

Looking ahead, Dragon Ball Super Divers’ 8th set, Legendary Attack, launches January 22nd. It pulls from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, and the Future Trunks arc, bringing in Gogeta, Goku Black, Zamasu, Mira, and the Supreme Kai of Time. Special campaigns sweeten the deal with limited Vegeta and Future Trunks cards, including god-rare prizes for the lucky and persistent.

Round it all out with ongoing Toriyama Archives and weekly character showcases, and the message is clear: whether you’re into manga, games, cards, or crane machines, Dragon Ball is making sure your wallet and your free time never recover.

That’s it for this week’s Dragon Ball News, thanks for tuning in and we hope you have a Super Week!
