DRAGON BALL STORE Opened On the First Floor of Tokyo Station’s Ichibangai!

The world’s first DRAGON BALL STORE, DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO, is set to open on Friday, November 14, 2025, on the first floor of Tokyo Station’s Ichibangai. Along with an exclusive selection of original merchandise, the store will offer special commemorative items to celebrate its grand opening.

To mark the opening, the comedy duo Kamaitachi, both devoted DRAGON BALL fans, visited the store and delivered an enthusiastic report. Their tour takes you inside the new space and highlights must-see items.

Kamaitachi’s Store Tour

As soon as they stepped inside, Yamauchi Kenji and Hamada Ryuichi were struck speechless by the massive Shenron spread across the ceiling. Yamauchi admitted he had always hoped to see Shenron in real life as a child, while Hamada insisted the actual creature would be even larger. Their excitement continued when they discovered the dynamic statue of Goku and the dragon. Hamada admired it from every angle, while Yamauchi could only marvel, calling Goku “adorable.”

When they reached the Super Saiyan statue frozen mid-Kamehameha, Hamada recalled the shock he felt the first time he saw Goku transform, and both instinctively struck the Kamehameha pose themselves.

The diorama corner, recreating iconic battle scenes, captivated them completely. Hamada recognized locations down to specific rocks, and Yamauchi eagerly pointed out the Androids’ ability to absorb energy.

After exploring the store, Yamauchi praised the range of merchandise and the vibrant T-shirt designs, saying he couldn’t look away. Hamada urged fans to visit and reconnect with the version of DRAGON BALL that shaped their lives.

Opening Event Highlights

Kamaitachi then took the stage at the opening event, kicking things off with classic references. When asked about his impressions, Hamada said DRAGON BALL had shaped him growing up, and being surrounded by it felt deeply meaningful. Yamauchi, meanwhile, joked about wanting to bring home everything from T-shirts to jackets and even a bloomer cap. Hamada scolded him for trying to get items for free and said a true fan should be willing to pay, even joking about spending 500,000 Zeni, the prize money of the Tenkaichi Budokai, to buy one of the statues.

What Stood Out Most

During the commentary session, Hamada highlighted the atmosphere of the store, calling it a world-first experience that would instantly lift the spirits of any fan. Yamauchi emphasized the remarkable statue quality. The exclusive footage available only in-store will no doubt generate excitement, and Hamada encouraged fans not to miss the new visuals featuring beloved characters like Goku and Vegeta. Yamauchi, an avid collector of vintage DRAGON BALL shirts, jokingly suggested the new shirts might become premium items, only to be scolded once again by Hamada for thinking in investment terms.

Inside the Store

Visitors are greeted at the entrance by a striking statue of Son Goku and a dragon, poised as if soaring among the clouds. The store, decorated in vibrant orange tones, is filled with nods to the series, from wall art to fixtures. Exclusive goods, including items shaped like Dragon Balls, can be found throughout the space.

A massive Shenron dominates the ceiling, while statues of Goku in both Super Saiyan and Ultra Instinct forms appear throughout the store, making the space ideal for exploring and taking photos.

There is also a dedicated Gashapon area inspired by the iconic Hoipoi Capsules from the series, offering a playful experience that will make you want to try your luck again and again.
