Dragon Ball News for the Week of September 1, 2025 – Vegeta Edition

DRAGON BALL WEEKLY UPDATE – DELIVERED BY THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS

It seems Earth’s media is still obsessed with toys, gum, and trading cards. Fine. If it keeps you weaklings entertained while I continue surpassing my limits, so be it. Here’s your so-called “Weekly Dragon Ball News” for the week of September 1st, delivered properly, not by some grinning editor, but by me: Vegeta.

A BLAST FROM LAST WEEK – HERE’S WHAT LANDED:

Sofu Bittsu Dragon Ball #2 (Released August 25 – Japan Only)

Another wave of palm-sized figures hit shelves in Japan. This second set includes characters from Dragon Ball DAIMA. They’re tiny, they come with a piece of gum, and they’re apparently “adorable.” Disgusting. But if you’re into collectibles, the sculpting is detailed, I’ll give them that.

Tobimas Dragon Ball (Also Released August 25)

These minuscule figures come equipped with suction cups so you can stick them to windows, meant to simulate flight. One of them features my own son, Future Trunks, sword and all, with wind-swept hair and the Capsule Corp logo. A worthy tribute. Barely. The entire set measures just 5 cm tall but manages to capture the unique poses and styles of several warriors. Stick them to your wall, car, or battle pod, I don’t care.

Grandista – GOGETA Figure (Crane Games, August 27)

Now this is quality. A large-scale Gogeta figure, sculpted with intense detail, from his clothing’s folds to his expression mid-Kamehameha. Available only in crane games, so you’ll have to earn it. Good. Power should never be handed out freely.

ULTRA Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta Enters Dragon Ball Legends (August 27)

Finally, some real news. My Super Saiyan 4 ULTRA form has been added to Dragon Ball Legends in the “ULTRA RISING, The Prideful Crimson Warrior” summon. I don’t need to tell you this is the only banner worth pulling on. You know who I am.

New Dragon Ball SD Chapters (August 29 – Japanese Only)

More light-hearted retellings of Dragon Ball tales. If you can read Japanese, go get it. If not, learn it. No excuses.

THIS WEEK’S NEWS – DON’T FALL BEHIND:

Saikyo Jump – October Issue (Hits Shelves September 4 – Japan Only)

This issue features a full rundown on the new game Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra. The editorial team tried it themselves and even gave some tips — not that I care for amateurs’ advice. If you plan to play, study the intel.

Also included:

  • Spotlights on key cards from Fusion World and Super Divers card games.
  • A scratch-off giveaway for a 3-pack of the upcoming Fusion World booster set.
  • New chapters of Dragon Ball SD and Dragon Ball Super Divers – Let’s! Super Dive!!

SAND LAND: The Series – Episode 10

Airing September 6 at 23:45 (Japan, NHK General TV)

Not Dragon Ball, but Toriyama’s handiwork nonetheless. Worth your attention — especially if you appreciate a good battle.

Dragon Ball Clear Rubber Coasters

Rolling out in early September via Flat Gashapon® machines. I don’t see the use in these, but perhaps your fragile tables do.

ONLINE UPDATES – FOR THE OBSESSED:

  • Toriyama Archives: Updated every other day.
  • September 2: “Weekly ☆ Character Showcase”
Hopefully they pick someone worthy this time. Like me.

That’s all for this week. Train harder, collect what you must, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll be worthy of standing in my presence one day.
