Dragon Ball Super Manga Celebrates 10 Legendary Years!

Believe it or not, Dragon Ball Super has officially crossed the 10-year milestone!
The manga debuted in the August 2015 special issue of V Jump, which hit shelves a decade ago in June. It launched right alongside the anime, which began airing in July 2015. A truly unforgettable double debut.
To mark the anniversary, we’re diving into some of Toyotaro’s standout V Jump covers from the past decade!
Cover Highlights Through the Years
March 2017 Special Issue

The “Future” Trunks arc heats up!
This issue’s cover features the terrifying Goku Black in his Rose form. Goku and Vegeta stand back-to-back in their Super Saiyan Blue forms—an explosive visual capturing the arc’s intensity.
October 2017 Special Issue

The Space Survival Arc begins with a bang—literally 22 characters packed onto one cover. Look closely, and you’ll even spot full-body illustrations of Krillin and Master Roshi cleverly hidden in the crowd.
As a bonus: a rare image of Master Roshi looking like he’s enjoying himself makes an appearance.
November 2019 Special Issue

The menace of Moro, the Planet Eater, dominates this cover as he squares off against Goku and Vegeta. The background action reflects the escalating chaos of the Galaxy Patrol Prisoner Arc.
February 2021 Special Issue

Goku takes center stage—alone, glowing with Ultra Instinct. The reflected light and pose emphasize his divine presence.
This issue also celebrated the end of the arc with a full retrospective, and Toyotaro teased: “I’m going to make it even more exciting than ever!” as the Granola the Survivor Arc approached.
June 2021 Special Issue

Granola makes a commanding debut in a dynamic pose, while Goku stares forward, ready for battle. The tension builds as the fight for the title of “strongest in the universe” begins.
October 2022 Special Issue

The climax of the Granola arc unfolds. Granola falls. Gas strikes. And then… the shocking arrival of Black Frieza!
The cover features Bardock and Goku—father and son—highlighting their pivotal roles in the story. Bonus: a special Bardock poster included.
May 2023 Special Issue

The Super Hero arc kicks into high gear. The focus shifts to Goten and Trunks, but the cover stars the fan-favorite duo: Gohan and Piccolo.
February 2024 Special Issue
