This was a more recent line of non-articulating figures produced by Bandai. They were released from 2014 through 2016 and retailed for 1500 yen in Japan and about $15 in the US. There were ten figures released and you can find them all below or on the Tamashii link here (make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom). There were additional prototype figures shown at various events during that time, but for whatever reason they were never released and the line was discontinued. My guess is that the buddies line didn’t sell too well and you can find them on sale on various sites. Either way, they are now part of the history of Dragon Ball figures and enshrined here on the Figure Links page.

New Tamashii Buddies: SSGSS Goku and Beerus

The Tamashii Buddies line up is expanding with two new release; Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Beerus. The figures are 90mm in height, they can be pre-ordered now via Big Bad Toy Store and will be shipped to buyers in September.

Worth noting is that Tamashii Buddies are one of the few lines of Dragon Ball merchandise that can be found in “brick and mortar” retailers across the United States like Barnes and Noble and Books-a-Million. So if you’re hesitant to order online, check those stores out and see what they have to offer.

Tamashii Buddies ‘Vegeta’ and ‘Goku’ Announced

Tamashii.jp announced that ‘Goku’ and ‘Vegeta’ would be added to their ‘Tamashii Buddies’ line and they’re due for release in December of 2015. They’re both available for pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store, with a retail price of $14.99.

NYCC Tamashii Nations Catalogue Pictures

At this year’s New York Comic Con Tamashii Nations was handing out a catalogue showcasing their Dragon Ball action figures. We weren’t there to pick these up first hand, but a kind visitor of the site forwarded these photos our way and gave us permission to post them up for you all here!

The catalogue features Dragon Ball figures from S.H. Figuarts, Figuarts Zero and the Tamashii Buddies line.
