Tamashii Nations showed off some of the recently revealed SH Figuarts prototypes at CCXP Brazil, giving more credence to the eventual release of the figures.
As some fans and collectors have noticed, sometimes Tamashii has pieces that seem to be “display only” and don’t make it into production. Many times those figures are seen once and never again. However since these figures are being displayed frequently, it’s likely that we will hear about release dates in the near future.
…and hopefully we will see another SS4 Goku figure soon too, as that’s a figure we have seen several times, but not so much lately.
Still no sightings of those old Super Buu with Gotenks/Gohan absorbed that got shown a year or two ago ;_; I just want a nice quality figure of those Buus. Maybe within a few years they’ll have made some.
Would have liked to see them announce Bardock so everyone would stop asking for him, but everything’s looking good, except for Gotenks’s legs. Should definitely be baggier.

Man that SS4 Goku is so sweet. I also hope we see that one.
Also: I think the strongest asset these figures have is their particular accuracy to the quirks in the contemporary animation. For instance, SS Blue Goku and Awakening Goku are totally different styles, and their figuresite reflect this, with the Awakening Goku featuring a more ‘curvy’ and old school aesthetic. That is SO DOPE.
That said, I have been disappointed with that Saiyan Saga Vegeta because he does not look like old Vegeta at all. And I would kill for a super short, giant forehead vegeta.
I dont collect SH Figuarts anymore, but I would buy every single Dragon Ball GT release they come out with. I can agree with most of your sentiments as well!

I agree. The first one released is much more accurate.
